Emergency Surgery

 The Left Eye

Thursday morning I received a call from Helen, the woman who has been nursing Hades back to health at the convalescent barn where he has been recovering from eye surgery while also being treated for the IBS. Helen was taking Hades back to the Equine Hospital for emergency surgery, this time for his left eye. It also developed an ulcer seemingly overnight. The veterinarians also discovered Hades had a additional complication of a corneal abscess and staff infection.

I am happy to report, the surgery went well and his eye was once more, saved. They treated the infection with antibiotics and were fortunate to give him the correct one for they type of staff he had.

Thank you again for all of your support...
