Putting on Weight

 Inflammatory Bowel Disease 

He has moved from the clinic intensive care to a nearby boarding facility for convalescing horses and is in the hands of Helen who will be giving him daily treatments while also keeping an eye on his weight and overall recovery. He needs to gain about 100 kilos.

The lab results are in.... Hades has IBD which is why he hasn't been able to absorb glucose. 

The good news? Or so they tell me, with dietary changes this can be mitigated to a degree. They will put him on cortisone which will calm his symptoms but I would also like to explore alternative therapies.
