At the Clinic

After a good brushing in his stall where his eye is being monitored by doctors, we went for a brief walk outside on hospital grounds. Hades was so happy to see me -- he gave so many horse hugs and kisses, and didn't even beg for carrots afterwards.

Once the eye is really healing on its own, he can leave the hospital and move to a nearby stable that provides supportive care for convalescing horses. This also allows the doctors to make rounds outside the premises to check on his progress.

His glucose tests came back showing he was not absorbing glucose so that is another issue that needs to be carefully studied.

If you would like to help support Hades return to health, please visit the Funding Links page on this site.

Thanks so much, we really need your support,
